Lately, mugword has become a trendy ingredient in Korean Beauty. It targets people who have acne-prone to sensitive skin. Today’s review is about I’m From Mugwort Mask – a gel face mask that I have been fallen in love recently.
Notable ingredients:
- Mugwort (2.1%): anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, helps to retain skin’s moisture, protect the skin’s barrier from ultraviolet rays, collagen stimulator
- Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract (Japanese Knotweed): reduces sign of irritation, collagen stimulator
- Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract: sun protector, anti allergic, anti-inflammatory, skin whitening
I’m From Mugwort is a wash-off gel mask that has a thick brownish jelly consistency. There are tiny pieces of herbs in the jar glass, but those didn’t rub off or irritate my skin.
This product has a strong scent of herbs. For me, I’m okay with the scent since it didn’t cause me any headache.
This gel mask is buildable on my skin. It won’t fall off or slide off easily. In fact, I felt quite cooling and fresh when applying the mask on my face.
Leave it on for 15 mins and then wash off, my skin felt soft, cool, smooth and a lot more brighter. Irritated area was not itchy any more!
My skin and I both love this product! If you are oily-combination to sensitive skin type (sometimes) just like me, you definitely need to try this wash off mask. It’s great for calming and healing.
One of the things I want to mention was that on the next morning after a night of using this, I feel like the amount of oil secreted was lessen. For me, I love to incorporate this product into my night time skin care routine, as an shower mask or off shower mask – depends on how lazy I am. I usually use this mask 4 times/week.
